Forgetfulness and Unworthy Award Recipient

Mina, please forgive me for forgetting to mention the Resurrection Blogfest in my post of November hops yesterday.  This is a great idea and I hope you all join Mina to help celebrate her first year of blogging.

Linda from Excuse Me While I Note That Down recently awarded me with the Top Commenter Award.  Thanks Linda!  I feel so unworthy, as I have been a slacker lately, but I'm inspired to do better.
I am honored to have so many good friends in the blogging community and I learn from them daily.  This award has inspired me to get back in gear and soak it up.

Lately I have been wrapped up in my new blog Ocean Advocate so I haven't been around as much as I'd like.  Somehow I will find a good balance that works.

In the meantime, I am going to pass this on to a few people who are always there for me to offer support when I need it.  If you have already been awarded or you don't want to participate, no worries.  I just wanted to show some blogger appreciation.

Starting Over, Accepting Changes - Maybe - my first follower at Ocean Advocate

Empty Nest Insider - my second follower at Ocean Advocate

Medeia Sharif - Ocean Advocate's third follower

Thank you all for your support.  Other special blog friends and regular commenters are...

Suzanne at The Word Is... - always incredibly supportive

Gossip Grl at Whatever - a regular commenter and supporter since my blogger beginning

Thank you so much to all of you and everyone else who visits me on a regular basis.

Have a Great Weekend!

  1. Aww thanks, Heather, really appreciate that. Thank you for the award this is a new one I haven't heard of so is extra nice. Have a lovely weekend :)

  2. Congratulations! And you're not a slacker.

  3. Thanks for the little award! I think it's a great thing you are doing, getting the word out about the Whales! Advocating something close to your heart is often unrewarding and tireless work and even harder trying to find a balance in everything! I don't consider you a slacker, everyone needs to take breaks so they don't face a burn out! Keep up the good work!

  4. Thank you Heather for the mention and the award. Your new blog is a very worthwhile endeavor and one that brings awareness to the wrongs that are done everyday to those creatures with whom we share this world.

  5. I hope you will be able to find a satisfying balance between your two blogs because I know both writing and whales and dolphins are priorities for you. Have a great weekend, Heather!

  6. Thanks so much for this wonderful award Heather! I agree with Gossip Girl and Arleen that your new blog is for such a worthwhile cause. Best of luck in your quest to save the whales. I can't imagine you ever slacking off in anything! Julie

  7. Hey, we've all got to slack sometimes - and I guarantee you're doing way better at keeping up on the blogs than me! For instance, I totally missed your announcement about the new blog. I'll be over to check it out.

Also, not to give you more to do - you're under absolutely no obligation to participate - I tagged you in a little something at my place. :)

  8. You've been tagged. I think perhaps the same one as Nicki E's... You've gotta play now!

  9. Congratulations on the award! Hoping you had a lovely weekend.

  10. Hi Heather,

Now then, about time that I, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar, left one of my much loved, eagerly anticipated comments! Cause I'm such an adorable dog, I shall go and visit your friend Mina's blog. Delighted to note you received a top commenter award.
I shall go and link into your other blog. And yes, aint there a supportive and pawsitive sense of community within dogland, sorry, blogland! Take very good care and keep smiling :)

    Pawsitive wishes, Penny :)

  11. I didn't know there was a Resurrection Blogfest. I'll check it out. Thanks!

  12. Aw, you're a doll, Heather - thanks for giving me such prime real estate on this post!!! :-)
